Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our amber jewellery workshops in Palanga
Not at all. Our workshops are designed for complete beginners with no jewellery-making experience needed. We start with the fundamentals of amber selection and basic stringing techniques, then build up from there. If you've worked with beads before, you'll find our approach complements existing skills perfectly.
Our workshops typically run for 3-4 hours, which gives you plenty of time to learn techniques and create at least one finished piece you can take home. Some specialized sessions in silver setting may run a bit longer depending on the complexity of the project.
Your workshop includes all materials—Baltic amber beads, stringing supplies, and tools—plus direct instruction and guidance from our tutors. You'll take home everything you create during the session. We provide tea and coffee, but any additional materials you want to purchase are available at workshop prices.
We recommend starting with our Amber Bead Stringing workshop first to get comfortable with design and finishing techniques. Our Silver Setting workshops build on those foundations, teaching hand-shaping and bezel techniques. That said, if you're keen to jump in, we can work with you—just let us know your experience level when booking.
Bead stringing focuses on selecting amber, preparing it, and using traditional and modern methods to create necklaces and bracelets. Silver setting teaches metalworking—shaping, soldering, and creating bezels to hold your amber stones. They're complementary skills, so many people take both to build a complete jewellery-making toolkit.
Head over to our contact page and drop us a message with your interest, preferred dates, and any questions about workshop details. We'll get back to you with availability and help you find the right workshop for your skill level and schedule.
